About our church

Outpouring Worship Center is a Spirit-filled church in Ravenna, Michigan. We are a small congregation in a rural community, and we have been part of this place for more than fifty years — long enough that a good number of the people here grew up in this building, and long enough to have learned that a church is measured by the lives it touches rather than by the size of the room.

Our mission

That sentence shapes what we do and what we deliberately do not do. It is why our services leave room for prayer and for the unplanned, why our teaching stays anchored in Scripture rather than in opinion, and why we would rather help one person find their footing than run a programme that looks impressive from the outside.

Our text is Acts 2:17 — “I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh.” All flesh. Every generation. That is where the name Outpouring comes from, and it is the reason you will find teenagers and great-grandparents in the same room on a Sunday morning.

Who we serve

We are located on Heights Ravenna Road, between Ravenna and Muskegon, and most of the people who gather here come from Ravenna, Muskegon County and the surrounding West Michigan communities. You do not need a church background to belong here. Whether you have walked with God for a long time or you are asking your first honest questions about faith, there is a place for you, and nobody will make an example of you for being new.

Beyond our own community, Pastor Tim and Dawn Maycroft have travelled as missionaries, supporting local ministries, widows and orphans in other parts of the world. That global work and the work here come from the same conviction: that the Gospel is for everyone, and that the most vulnerable people are not an afterthought to it.

What happens here

• Sunday · 10:30 AM
  Worship service. Music, prayer and teaching straight from Scripture. It runs about an hour, it is warm rather than formal, and there is no dress code. If you are visiting, you will not be singled out, asked to stand, or asked to give.
• Wednesday · 6:30 PM
  Bible study and prayer. A mid-week gathering for working through Scripture in more depth, praying for one another, and asking the questions there is not always time for on a Sunday.
• Ongoing
  Community groups. Four smaller groups — Faith, Real Faith, Hope and Now — each meeting people at a different point in their walk. Smaller rooms are where most of the real work of a church actually gets done.
• Every day
  The Daily Word. A short written reading published every morning, grounded in Scripture and in what is going on in the world this week. Read today’s →

Our pastor

Dr. Timothy Maycroft serves as Senior Pastor of Outpouring Worship Center, a church he and his family have called home for many years. A longtime Ravenna resident, he holds a Doctor of Ministry degree in Missions, Evangelism, and Church Growth from Newburgh Theological Seminary and Bible College, as well as a Master’s degree in Business Intelligence. Years of leading in the church and in business have equipped him to shepherd this congregation and to serve the wider community with vision and wisdom.

He and his wife, Dawn, have travelled the world as missionaries, providing support to local ministries, widows and orphans. Their outreach flows from a deep commitment to sharing the Gospel and serving the most vulnerable.

How we are organised

Outpouring Worship Center is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, EIN 38-2469106. Gifts to the church are tax-deductible in the United States. We are supported entirely by the giving of the people who gather here; there is no denominational subsidy behind us, and every dollar given goes into the ministry of this church — weekly services, the upkeep of the building, local outreach, and support for missionaries and church-planting work overseas.
