Scripture in this message: 2 Timothy 2:21, Luke 6:38, Ephesians 3:20, Galatians 5:22, Romans 8:11, 1 Corinthians 2:4, Zechariah 4:6

0:00 or television, it was pretty much a foot race to get that message out. The filling of the Holy Spirit was never designed to stop at the person receiving it. For the first moment Jesus described it, he framed it in terms of a witness and movement, not just as maintenance. Every one of us, there's times that we just,

we'll come into the sanctuary and that's all we're searching for is for the Holy Spirit to touch us because our life's been in terror tomorrow, we've been in fear, we've been struggling, whatever it is and we know the Spirit of God can truly help us get through that situation. We need to, you know, they talk about waking up

with a full armor of God. We need to be getting out of bed with it and we don't need to be putting it on. We need to live every day with a full armor of God and let that Spirit, the armor of God, well, you get it into your heart, you get your defenses up

because the enemy wants nothing more than to take that Holy Spirit away from you because he knows how much power is in that Holy Spirit. The disciples had just asked Jesus in Acts, had just asked Jesus when he was going to restore the kingdom to Israel. They were still thinking politically, they were thinking small,

they were thinking about themselves. Well, the Holy Spirit, yes, it is good for each and every one of us. It changes our lives, it gives us the strength and the energy to go through our daily lives. But if we're not sharing that Spirit that's within us with those who we come in contact with,

we're not using the Holy Spirit to its full extent. And the point isn't in the timing, the point is the mission. You will receive power and you will be my witness. You can't separate the two. You will receive the power and you will become a witness. Some of us may try to become witnesses

without having that Spirit embedded in us or thinking we can do it on our own. It's an easy task to try to witness to people when you really, you're not filled with the Holy Spirit. If you're led by the Spirit, witnessing becomes easy. When you know that the Spirit is involved, you don't go knocking on doors

2:35 or touching somebody, tapping somebody on the shoulder. You know, let me tell you about Jesus. If the Spirit tells you, somebody he's already prepared the way and he's opening those doors for you to witness to them. You may be that my friend's name is Kevin, but you may be the Tim in Kevin's life

or you may be the Tim in somebody's life. Could be somebody you haven't talked with it in many years or it could be somebody that you talked with before you came in the door this morning. People are out there longing to hear the word of God and they're longing to see the Spirit

and the changes made in your life. For us today, the baptism of the Holy Spirit was not a spiritual upgrade so you could feel better in church. It was a commissioning. It was the Father handing you the tools and saying, now go. There's nothing to be afraid of if you're filled with the Holy Spirit.

The enemy can't touch you if you're filled and stay filled and continually be refilled by the Spirit. The enemy can't touch you and he can't harm you. There's nothing stronger than my Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. There's nothing in this world that can compare. Who cares about the war in Iran?

Who cares about what, I mean, we care, the fights are taking place in Israel. We already know that God's in control and we know that he's already won the battle and he's already promised us to be victors. So as an illustration, we hear a lot of talk in the trade world, you have electricians, welders, carpenters

and they fill their truck up with all these brand new tools. I almost said toys, but for some people, they could be the same thing. But they fill their truck up with all these tools and they got all this knowledge. They've learned how to play with wires and do the carpentry work. You don't want me doing any of that stuff.

But then they drive their truck to the job site and they sit there and drink coffee. They have all this money invested in their tools, in their trade, but nothing actually gets done till they get out of their seat until they put their coffee down and get up and do the work. I don't want you to just be like that.

5:13 I don't want you just sitting in your chairs being a spectator. We need to be participators, yes. This picture of a spirit-filled believer who has settled into spiritual comfort. The power is real, but it's parked. Are you just a parked truck in the driveway on the job site? Is this a job site?

Is everywhere we go should be part of a job site where we get things done? The latter glory requires carriers who are walking in holiness and close to the spirit. Haggai two, four and five. But now be strong, Zara, it's got a different version. Anyways, but now be strong, Zara Babel declares the Lord.

Be strong, Joshua son of Joseph, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of Israel, declares the Lord. And work, for I am with you, declares the Lord almighty. This is what I coveted with you when you came out of Egypt and my spirit remains among you. Do not be afraid or do not fear.

Again, if we have that spirit and we're not using it, it's going to waste. He wants us to reach our communities with that Holy Spirit. He wants that spirit to pour overflowing. I think I've mentioned before that Luke 638, I used to really live a lot on that, but things change in life, I guess.

And we focus, but Ephesians 638 talks about your cup runneth over. And since then I've started changing Ephesians 3 20, which is accededly abundantly more than you could ever ask or imagine. There's nothing that we can think about that God can't do. You know, and we tend to think in the small areas

when God has something much greater for us. Before God said the latter glory will be greater, he said, we need to be strong and do the work, which is what I've been talking about the last few weeks. It's time for us to get up and make some changes. And because we need to prepare

for the latter glory that's coming that's greater than the former glory. A greater glory is gonna, this greater glory that God is promising to us is gonna make a huge change in where we are today. If we go back in the context a little bit of the Haggai, the people had turned from Babylonian exile

8:31 and started rebuilding the temple. Then they stopped. For 15 years they didn't do anything. They got, they sort of got tired. They didn't know what they were doing and people had given up hope and they just went home. They stopped building the temple. But Haggai's job was to wake them back up. God's message wasn't wait for better conditions.

It was get back to work because I haven't left yet. The conditions in our midst, not that it's terrible but I think we've been sitting so long waiting for God to change something though that we can move forward. But I'm telling you today that we need to start moving forward and I can promise you, God will meet us there.

God will be with us. The spirit of God will be within us. I can't do anything on my own but the Holy Spirit can. I was talking to Vanita this morning in the sanctuary and I've come to despise the word can't or I'll try. When you say you can't, that means you've already refused to move forward.

And if you use the word try, you're already trying to find an excuse not to do it. But I want us to change those words into can't. We can't fix the roof because we don't have the money but we can fix the roof because God says it's gonna be fixed. We can feel the sanctuary not because we can't

because we don't have the finances to bring them in but we can because God says he's gonna do it. We need to stop saying I can't be healed because they said I have cancer but I have watched over and over again God with his mighty hand touched down and take the cancer and destroyed it in their life.

I have watched him take me out of my poverty into prosperity. And I'm not just talking about finances folks. I'm talking about every area in your life especially the spiritual avenues. Stop saying the word can't. Unless you're gonna say I can't go fishing I need to go to church. I can't miss church.

Can't miss church. For us today the Holy Spirit doesn't feel a life that's been handed over to compromise and then wonder why nothing is moving. The fruit of the Spirit, Galatians 5, 22 and 23. Some of you know my grandpa. I know Ruth, she knew my grandpa. And he really loved the Holy Ghost.

11:36 He loved the gifts of the Spirit. But one thing he embedded into my head was Galatians 22 and 23. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Again, if we're being given the gifts of the Spirit, you know, healing discernment, speaking in tongues.

What good are they if we're not receiving the fruit and we're not sharing the fruit? That's the biggest sign when you're filled with the Holy Ghost, when you're filled with the Spirit that you begin to adapt all the fruits of the Spirit within you. People will see the love that you have, the joy, the peace, the kindness, the faithfulness.

People will see that within you in their lives. Gradually if you spend enough time with them, they'll start to change. My boss at work, at least my current job or one of my two jobs, I'll say. I don't know exactly, he doesn't know. He never attended church as a kid, he just doesn't.

But at least once a month now I get a chance to talk to him. And actually I try to make go out of my way to make time to talk to him then I can always twist it now. See one thing, once you put in your resignation for retirement, it's like you start to live

by different rules because I can say things now that probably before would have got me sent to HR, whatever. But the worst thing that they can do now is say, well, you don't need to wait till the end of July to leave, you can leave now. So I become my bold in what I share.

But the fruit of the Spirit is really what's important in our lives. And that's what people are looking for. Second Timothy 2 21, those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instrument for the special purposes made holy, useful to the master and prepared to do any good work. Again, we need to prepare ourselves

to become the instruments that God needs for us to be so that we may be used for his kingdom and have that kingdom power to change the lives of people we come in contact with. One of my focuses with being a new leader here is community. Why is it that our community doesn't even know that we're here?

14:32 Or what's even worse, they know that we're here but they don't like us. We need to fix that. We need to change that. A lot of people work in manufacturing and if you work around equipment enough, you know that contaminants matters. We have a place in our, if you don't know, I work at, it used to be Teladine Continental Motors

years ago, but now it's called Rank. It was bought by a German company a few years ago but for many, many years, they've been making the engines for tanks. I think every Abraham, Abram tank has a rank engine in it and about 10 years ago, they started doing transmissions as well. So that's where,

and the transmissions are very susceptible to this but if you walk through the facility where they're actually doing the assemblies, you'll find all these signs that no food allowed, no drink allowed because just one little crumb could get in these and destroy the engines. Where are we today? What are those contaminants that we're letting into our life

that's keeping us from fulfilling the true word of God, the spirit that God has given us? The same power that pulled Jesus out of the sealed tomb on Sunday morning is not sitting dormant inside you waiting for heaven. It is a pretense, act of resurrection and it is meant to produce change in this world around you.

Not yesterday, not tomorrow, but today. We need to step forward and start making those changes today. Romans 8.11, and if the spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of the spirit who lives within you.

We need the spirit of God to fulfill the things that he had promised for us. Not one of us can do it without the spirit of God. Not one of us can do any godly good unless God is involved in it. Paul wrote Romans and he wrote it to ordinary Roman believers, not apostles,

not professionals, not ministers, not evangelists. He said it to people that had regular jobs, whatever a regular job is these days. People that had world problems, people that struggled financially or was sick or hurting, relationships are bad. He made that promise to ordinary people so that they would understand that the spirit of God

17:34 is also for them and can make these wonderful mighty changes in their lives. He's making the case that the spirit isn't just a comfort for the hard days, he's giving life, giving power into your mortal physical reality, into your own body. Let that spirit fill you and saturate you so that you may become godly good for the kingdom.

The last scripture I have today is 1 Corinthians 2, 4 and 5. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words but with a demonstration of the spirit power so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom but on God's power. We've been talking a lot about faith. You know, we're at the ark encounter

and Noah, we know he had great faith for many years. We know he had it for 75 years because he didn't see the water yet. He didn't see the rain yet but he still built the ark. When Paul spoke this, he was speaking to the Corinthians and he wasn't a great man of charisma.

He wasn't a well looked upon but he walked with the spirit and things happened. You can walk with the spirit and things will happen. You don't have to be the most educated person in the room, the most articulate at your job. You only need to be the one that is willing to let the spirit fill you, saturate you,

overflow from you so it spills out on those that you come in contact with. So they say, hey, hey, what is that that I feel? Remember that she just touched the hem of his garment and Jesus knew that that virtue flew out of him. This is what our mission is at OWC or our prayer and worship center.

We've seen it, we've read it, we've heard it. Creating an atmosphere for the Holy Spirit to have free course of action in people's life. It's not just the people sitting in this room. We've all experienced that free course of action and that the spirit moved however he chooses to move in our own lives.

But I'm telling you that same spirit is flowing through us and with us and into us so that we may be a vessel, a conduit for that spirit, that very same spirit to be poured out on those that we come in contact with. Hey guy two nine, I keep going here. This is what God has put on my heart.

20:25 The latter glory will be greater. But God keeps that promise through people who are close to the spirit, walking in holiness and bold enough to move when he says move. But we can't just sit waiting. I talked about that last week. We are not here to just sit waiting, sitting on our hands.

We need to be moving. We have a mission to do. We have a mission to do. Last week we saw a couple of missionaries. I didn't know they were missionaries but they're actually US missionaries and their whole ministry is speaking to college kids. And Annabelle, which is my friend's daughter that got married, through that ministry

she got filled with the Holy Ghost. That's what it's all about folks. It's about being open and letting God use you to change people's lives. If you're here sitting in the sanctuary just so you can get to heaven, you're missing out. I mean, that's gonna be a great and wonderful thing. I'm looking forward to that day

but we have so much work to do before we get there. And it's just not only my responsibility to make that happen as the leader in this church but I'm gonna keep embedding into each and every one of you that you have a job to do. For none of us can do it alone

but when we create an army together we will reach the loss, we will make the change and we will usher in the latter glory to be greater than the previous one. Zechariah, I guess I do have one, Zechariah 4.6. We've all heard this, not by might nor by power but by spirit says the Lord.

With the spirit all things become possible. With the spirit we can move mountains, with the spirit we can fill those valleys and walk on level ground. We don't have to, when the devil has meant things to be bad or evil for us he will change around, he will turn it around and you will be given greater

just as the greater glory is coming into this house he will give you greater than what you've ever had before if you put your trust in him. If you put your trust in him. If you're willing to let that spirit overthrow you and not just sit here comfortably with this holding onto that spirit

23:13 people need to know that spirit. We're in this together, right? We all wanna see what God has planned for us. We all wanna see that greater glory that's coming to us. Let us pray. Father, we come to you right now as people who do not have it all together but as people who are willing.

You said the latter glory would be greater and we believe it today. So Holy Spirit, we open our lives back up to you today not just for what we can feel in this room but for what you want to do through us as we leave these doors. Feel every person in this place with fresh fire

fresh anointing, fresh spirit, a fresh outpouring. Where we've gotten comfortable, wake us up. Where we've been afraid, give us boldness and where we've been parked, get us moving again. We are not here to sit on what you've given us. We are here to carry it, to have your way Lord in our families, in our city, our congregation

in this generation today, Lord, I pray, amen. The message seems to be the same over the last three weeks since I've but that's just how God works. Are we all together gonna have
